The countdown has started in the Bataviahaven of Lelystad for the Hiswa te Water, the largest open-air water sports fair in Northwest Europe. The fair opens on Wednesday, August 30 at 10 am. More than thirty thousand visitors are expected to enter the fair in five days through the 75-meter-long entrance tent.

In just a few years, the Hiswa te Water has grown into an international meeting place for water sports enthusiasts. The organization has done everything possible to optimize the quality of the exhibition, including through the more chic decoration and the provision of first-class catering. The range of boats on offer is also greater than ever. More than 424 boats with a total estimated value of 1 billion euros can be admired at the jetties and quays of the Bataviahaven. It's not just the record number of boats and yachts that impresses. The diversity of the offering is also unique in Europe.

There are many high-quality Dutch motor yachts on the Hiswa te Water that attract a lot of attention from home and abroad under the name 'Dutch Build'. There is also a wide range of cabin sailing yachts and daysailers. For sailors there is also a wide choice of popular sailing catamarans. And for those looking for space on the water, several houseboats are moored in the Bataviahaven.

At the fair, the four major outboard motor brands each have their own pavilion with between 25 and 40 fast boats equipped with their engines. Traditionally, the sloops and tenders segment is best represented at the fair. Nowhere in the world will you see such a wide range of these popular day boats. What is special is that almost all brands offer their boats with a modern electric drive. Furthermore, hydrogen propulsion is also making its debut.
