We know the American Wellcraft primarily for its wide range of Fisherman models, which were previously joined by the luxurious Wellcraft 355.
This includes the 44 Explorer; the undisputed flagship with top performance thanks to three 350 hp outboard engines mounted on the transom.
American-made boats are generally quite loaded as standard, and this is especially true for the premier edition of the Wellcraft 435. To name just a few: air conditioning, a 7.5 kVA generator, roof racks, a premium audio system, lithium batteries, an infrared camera system, and a Garmin Open Array radar. The package even includes a rather absurd duo of fake satellite antenna domes. But even if you limit yourself to the standard version, you still have a richly specified sport yacht that, with its three super-fast V10 Verados, can reach a top speed of an impressive 50 knots.
The Wellcraft 44 Explorer is a modern-looking yacht with a stunning interior, featuring two luxurious staterooms. We deliberately avoid using the term "owner's cabin" and "guest cabin," as these quarters are practically identical and both have en-suite bathrooms with separate showers. The helm station is beautifully appointed, and the pair of Garmin screens are controlled from the wheel. The foredeck is perfect for sunbathing, and thanks to the two fold-down decks in the cockpit, you have a truly unique beach club.
At sea, this new Wellcraft 44 Explorer showed its best side thanks to its excellent sailing characteristics. The yacht is ideal for a family with young children, but especially for a couple who appreciates luxury and enjoys inviting friends over for a multi-day trip while maintaining their privacy.
